You are a M.O.M. when.....
you hear a thud, thud, and then a few seconds of silence followed by loud screaming and you finish putting the dishes away and wait for the child to walk into the room before you tell them they are okay. After all they just fell off the back of the couch onto their head, which you told them not to do a thousand times.
This is one of those experiences that made me a M.O.M. in my teenage years. I got used to the boys I babysat to be rambunctious and for someone to always get hurt. Usually nothing to life changing.

Arise and Laugh
you are a M.O.M. when.....
you find yourself asleep dreaming about the dreams you once had as a child and the different paths you could have taken during and after high school. You know the dreams where you are flying around the world helping everyone you can in the Peace Corp, or performing at Julliard, or winning the Olympic Gold Medal for women's volleyball.Beep Beep Beep goes the alarm and all those dreams are over and the greatest dream and path ever taken are your next footsteps to go make breakfast and lunch for all the little ones that are waiting for you.
This ones inspired by the lovely women I was privileged to meet and laugh with this weekend. All of us could have taken different paths at different times in our lives, but I believe everything happens for a reason. It doesn't matter if it was our mothers influence or non-influence, accidents, or prayer, that led us down our path now, I believe we are where we are because what we are doing now is more important than we will ever know. So NOW walk with your head held high because you are accomplishing your greatest adventure, nothing will ever measure up!

Arise and Laugh
you are a M.O.M. when......
you lick your child's face instead of using a towel of some sort.
Okay so I haven't literally licked my child's face, but I have licked my thumb and wiped a cheek or some other facial feature. Too often I run out of the house without doing a fashion or cleaning check. More often than that I am handing food to a screaming loved one (not just children) to stop the fit and by the time we get to the desired destination all that was right before is all dirty. Oh the JOYS, seriously it really is a joy especially if you laugh about all the silly things that happen.

you know you are a M.O.M. when……
a diaper sagging, booger crusted, mouth drooling, dirt covered child walks up to you crying and you think “Isn’t he so cute!”
It doesn’t matter if you put life into this child or not. Any woman who thinks that a child in this state is cute has to be a mom. How can you resist giving them a hug to cure those tears. It doesn’t matter if you just put on the most expensive outfit you own or just out of the shower. When you see this child the heart strings pull and you care about nothing in the world but making this little one better. It is this sensitivity and natural instinct that makes us great, strong, super M.O.M.’s.
Remember if you are a good M.O.M. 60% of the day you are a good M.O.M!
