you are a M.O.M when.....
an hour after shopping you come home and forget what you bought so you ask your friend to borrow what you just purchased.
I totally did this last Friday. Here I was trying to finish up some homemade Christmas presents and remembered that I needed a staple gun. I went to trusty FB to see if I could borrow one from someone. As I was waiting for a response I unloaded my shopping bags and to my surprise I found a new staple gun.(Yes, I purchased it. I had just forgotten I bought it.) I started laughing at myself as I hope you are now. Have you had a M.O.M. moment like this before?

Arise and Laugh
you are a M.O.M. when....
carrying the shopping bags is considered part of the weekly strength training workout.
Especially at this time of year when you are constantly carrying in more bags and bigger items for Santa. I try to carry as many bags as I can on each arm to make sure I really strength my muscles.lol I have people say "Oh, you must get a workout chasing and carrying your kids." I just wish it were enough of a workout that I didn't have to go to the gym.
At this wonderful time of year I hope you enjoy the added workout of shopping and transferring gifts. Remember that gifts are only a symbol of the greatest gift of all, Eternal Life.

Arise and Learn
What I have learned about black Friday shopping.....
If you head out early make sure you have a buddy and always have a cell phone handy, so you can call each other about items, while the other one waits in line.
That if you wait unti 6:30 I still can get almost everything that you want and the lines are not near as long. (By going at that time it gives some of the employees time to put stuff back to the right place after people have left stuff that they decided not to buy.)
Kohl's will always have a line that wraps around the store, and most of their sales will not end that day, they are usually 2 or 3 day sales!
Going with your husband isn't as much fun as going with your sister or girlfriends, they complain too much!!!

getting up at 3:30am (or never going to sleep) on the Friday after Thanksgiving sounds like a great idea.
When did this become a common and needed thing to do. I am sure it was a M.O.M. that thought we have got to go shopping and be the first ones in line or our childrens' lives will come to an end Christmas morning when Santa has not brought the right gift. This is only because the love of our little ones out ways any selfish need....like sleep. I believe this only proves my thoughts that M.O.M.'s rule the retail world. I hope that all of you who were out this morning got everything you needed to make sure the Santa magic happens this year. I was one of the lucky ones. MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!
