Arise and Learn

This Thanksgiving as you are preparing don't forget to include all your little or big helping hands. One of my favorite memories is helping my dad make the pumpkin pies! I know you can buy the already prepared pie crusts, but give this a try, it is a big hit with everyone and lets the kids feel like they are a part of helping out.
Pie Crust Recipe
2 Cups Flour
1 Cube butter
1/4 Cup milk
1 Tbsp vinegar
Mix with hands until you can from it into a ball
Roll out-enough for 2 pie crusts

After you have rolled it out for your pies grab the excess dough, flour the table and let the kids roll it out. After it is all rolled out put on a cookie sheet, poke it all over with a fork and then have the kids cover it with cinnamon and sugar. Bake for a few minutes, pull out and you have pie crust cookies that are so yummy! This is a great childhood memory I have of helping out, especially at Thanksgiving, and one that my kids look forward to doing. It is an easy way to make those little helping hands happy! I am so grateful for my helping hands!

I use the Libby's pumpkin mix, but don't get the one with the spices already mixed it just doesn't taste right.
